Complexity is the enemy of momentum.
Whether you’re a team of two or twenty, “the way we’ve always done it” eventually becomes the very thing holding you back. I founded Better Together Works Co. to help businesses identify the knots in their operations and untangle them - - turning friction into a sustainable, repeatable rhythm.
We didn't start in a boardroom; it started in the trenches of messy workflows and organizational spaghetti. I’ve spent years watching brilliant, creative people lose their spark because they were too busy fighting their own processes - - feeling like they were serving the system rather than the system serving them.
Systems shouldn't be cold, clinical, or something you have to 'brace' yourself for every Monday morning. We believe operations should be the quiet, steady heartbeat of your business - - the invisible support that lets your team show up as their best, most human selves. We aren’t here to install a rigid framework; we’re here to design a sustainable rhythm that lets you grow without burning out the soul of your work.
That’s why our approach is deeply personal. We look at the knots in your business not as technical failures, but as human friction points that deserve a thoughtful solution. Whether we are untangling a single workflow or architecting your entire operational ecosystem, we do it with the same respect and care we bring to the lands and waterways we call home.
I’m Chris Kennedy (he/him), and I’m a fan of the “Untangled”.
I’ve spent my career in the guts of operations - - seeing where systems break, where people get stuck, and where momentum goes to die. What I’ve learned is that the best solutions aren’t the most complex ones; they’re the ones that actually get used.
I founded Better Together Works Co. because I believe that when your business operations are in sync, you finally have the space to be human again. My goal is to move you past the “how” so you can get back to your “why”.
I spent a decade in the high-pressure world of retail management at Shoppers Drug Mart, earning a reputation as ‘The Fixer’. If a store had broken inventory, spiraling labor costs, or stagnant growth, they sent me in to roll up my sleeves and find the rhythm again. It was there I learned my most valuable lesson: you can’t scale a business if you’re constantly fighting your own processes.
“Organizational change is a heavy lift, but it’s always easier when you have a partner for the sanity checks. I’ve spent my career leaning in to say, ‘Oh, and BTW, you’re going to want to try this...’
It only made sense that the company I built was named for that exact moment.”
In 2020, I transitioned into the tech sector, bringing that same 'fixer' mentality to Customer Success and Onboarding. Whether I’m working with a corporate client or volunteering on a non-profit board, I see the same thing: brilliant people held back by bottlenecks that shouldn’t be there. I’ve spent my career closing the loops and building rounded experiences - - not just for the customers, but for the teams doing the work. When I’m not streamlining workflows or staring intensely at a messy process map, you’ll likely find me tending to my two dozen houseplants. They don’t always follow my systems, but they’re excellent listeners. I’m a firm believer that a well-placed plant - - and a well-placed automation - - can solve almost anything.
That meticulous approach meets a deep respect for environment. I live in North Vancouver because it reminds me of the small northern-BC town where I grew up. Being outdoors, with the trees and mountains in sight, is my own rhythm now - - and it’s a constant reminder that the most resilient systems are the ones built to last. I look forward to bringing that same clarity, calm, and care to your business ecosystem.
